How to ask AcBridge
Example prompts that get each common task right the first time, what to include, and what happens after you ask.
Talk to AcBridge in plain words, in English or Chinese, in ChatGPT, Claude or Grok with AUTOCOUNT connected. A good request says four things: which book (company), what you want (a report, a check or a document), the details (customer or supplier, date, amounts, items, document numbers), and what you want back (figures, a PDF, a preview link).

Which AutoCount books can I use, and are they online?
How do I ask you for a sales invoice? Give me an example I can copy.
Getting started
- Connect AUTOCOUNT in ChatGPT, Claude or GrokAdd AcBridge to your AI app once, as a custom connector named AUTOCOUNT with the address https://acbridge.app/mcp, and sign in with your work account.
- Your first chat: what you can askStart by asking which books you can use, then ask for reports, checks, lookups or documents in plain words.
- Roles: who can do whatViewers ask and read, operators also prepare previews, confirmers also confirm and withdraw on the batch page, and the owner manages people and roles.
Enter documents
- Sales invoiceAsk for a sales invoice with the customer, date and lines, or from a quotation, sales order or delivery order; you get a preview link to confirm.
- Delivery order now, invoice laterAsk for a delivery order when goods go out before they are invoiced; later, ask to invoice that delivery order by its number.
- Customer receipt and knock-offAsk for a receipt with the customer, date, amount, where the money went and the invoices it pays; without invoices it stays as the customer's advance.
- Supplier paymentAsk for a supplier payment with the supplier, date, amount, where it was paid from and the supplier invoices it pays.
- Cash book payment or receiptFor money in or out that is not a customer receipt or a supplier payment (expenses, bank charges, interest, refunds), ask for a cash book entry with the date, who, the amount and what it is for.
- Credit note to a customerAsk for a credit note with the customer, date, amount and reason; it becomes the customer's credit balance.
- QuotationAsk for a quotation with the customer, date and lines; it does not touch the accounts, and you can invoice it later by its number.
- New customer, supplier or accountAsk for a new customer or supplier with its code and company name; currency, payment terms and control account follow your book's usual values unless you say otherwise. A new account in the chart of accounts works the same way, with its code, name and kind.
Reports and checks
- Reports: P&L, balance sheet, aging, statementsAsk for any AutoCount report by name and date; it is made with your book's own layouts and comes with PDF and Excel links.
- Sales for a period: which figure, which reportSales in the accounts is the sales line of the profit and loss statement for the period; a sales analysis counts documents instead, so the answer says which one it gives.
- Full Check and how to read itAsk for a Full Check of one book as at a date to get an accountant's review of the whole book in one go, with a working-paper PDF.
- Month end: what is still missingAsk what is still missing for a month to see how far each kind of document is entered, the bank position and the month's closing entries, then work through it step by step.
- Book brief and who is workingAsk for a book's brief to see in one answer who is who, the rules in force, the company's practices, the last Full Check, review points, who is working now and the next steps.
Confirm, withdraw and fix problems
- Confirming on your phoneOpen the preview link, check the cards, type the 4-digit code shown on the page, tick the large-amount box if it is there, and press Confirm and post.
- Withdrawing a posted batchA confirmer withdraws a posted batch on its page by typing the code; documents changed in AutoCount since then are left as they are.
- "Replaced by a newer preview"When you ask again for the same documents, the newer preview replaces the older one; confirm the newer one.
- Reporting a problemUse Report a problem on the batch page; the support team receives the batch's details automatically, and you see the answer on the page.
- TroubleshootingWhat to do when a book is offline, a preview has expired, a document was not saved, or AutoCount's version does not match.
Company practices
Tips
- Nothing is posted from the chat. Documents come back as a preview link, and a confirmer types the 4-digit code on that page.
- One task per message works best. For many documents, attach the list, a spreadsheet or a photo of each document.
- In any chat, ask "How do I ask for ...?" and the AI answers with prompts from this guide.
- Never type passwords, IC numbers or bank account numbers into the chat.
