New customer, supplier or account
Ask for a new customer or supplier with its code and company name; currency, payment terms and control account follow your book's usual values unless you say otherwise. A new account in the chart of accounts works the same way, with its code, name and kind.
Example prompts
Copy one into a chat with AUTOCOUNT connected and change the details to your own.
In Company A's book, add a new customer: code 300-S002, Customer C Sdn Bhd, payment terms 30 days.
Add supplier 400-D002, Supplier G Sdn Bhd, currency SGD.
Show me how our customer codes are numbered, then add Customer E with the next free code.
In Company A's book, add expense account 910-T001 Courier Charges (type EP) and bank account 310-T002 Bank D Current Account.
Include in your request
- The code (in your book's format) and the company name, in English if your book keeps names in English.
- Currency and payment terms, only if they are not the usual ones.
- The control account, only if your book has more than one.
- For a new account: its code in your book's format, its name, and its kind (an expense or income account with its account type, or a bank, cash, fixed asset or stock account).
What happens next
- A confirmer types the 4-digit code and the customer, supplier or account is created.
- You can then use it in invoices, receipts and payments.
Tips
- Address, phone and e-Invoice details are kept in AutoCount; add them there if needed.
- Withdrawing deletes the new customer or supplier.
- New accounts work the same way: give the code in your book's format, the name and the kind (bank, cash, fixed asset, stock and so on). Withdrawing deletes an account only while nothing uses it.
