Credit note to a customer
Ask for a credit note with the customer, date, amount and reason; it becomes the customer's credit balance.
Example prompts
Copy one into a chat with AUTOCOUNT connected and change the details to your own.
In Company A's book, issue a credit note to Customer B dated 2026-09-22 for RM 300.00, a price adjustment on invoice I-0123.
Credit note to Customer D for RM 1,180.00 including tax, goods returned, dated 2026-09-24.
Include in your request
- Customer, date and amount, and whether the amount includes tax.
- The reason in your words (price adjustment, goods returned, discount); your rules decide the account from it.
- The invoice it relates to, in the description, if you want it shown.
What happens next
- The preview shows the account, the tax and the total; a confirmer types the 4-digit code.
- The credit note is not knocked off against an invoice; it stays as the customer's credit until someone knocks it off in AutoCount.
Tips
- AcBridge does not submit e-Invoices. If this credit note needs one, handle it in AutoCount as your company normally does.
- Withdrawing a credit note cancels it.

- Withdrawing a posted batchA confirmer withdraws a posted batch on its page by typing the code; documents changed in AutoCount since then are left as they are.
